‘The Dreamed One’ depicts a serene face, cradled by a hand.

The closed eyes shield the figure from direct gaze whilst simultaneously opening up an inner space of memory, stillness and imagination.
The fragile, almost floating tranquillity of the form stands in contrast to the weight and permanence of the bronze. It is in its encounter with nature that the sculpture unfolds its true effect: like a silent apparition in space.

The work is rooted in the field of site-specific sculpture and is intended as a contribution to a broader understanding of sculpture in dialogue with landscape and architectural space. At its heart lies the question of how sculptural forms can have an effect that is not dominant, but rather atmospheric and one that guides perception.

The human body appears not as a self-contained image, but as an open state of perception. Nature changes its appearance and, with it, a new image emerges. The human body is deliberately depicted in a fragmentary manner, not as an autonomous or complete form, but as part of a larger context.
