Art connects.

Margit Klammer – Art and Sculpture in South Tyrol

People with people and people with places, people and nature, past, present and future. Because nothing changes the world, neither a sculpture, nor a picture, nor a building. The only thing that leads to real change is to change our own thoughts, to see what there is, and to do what we can to make the world more beautiful for a moment. When the opportunity arises to collaborate with others and to combine their skills with mine, a relationship is formed and a collaborative work of art is created.

Art as a necessity between you and me, space and time, nature and technology, quiet and movement, shadow and light. Using the means that the place requires, capture its essence and create connections.

Art and Nature

Where begins Art – Where ends Nature

“I am who I am because I am where I am.”

This sentence has deeply affected my consciousness and I suspect that the place where we live and that surrounds us influences us more than we want to admit.  Presumably we feel the energy of spaces spreading over us until they reach the point where it is no longer possible to distinguish between inside and outside. The inner rooms adapt to the outside ones. The soul of the place spreads out, reaches out, breathes differently, slower, faster, takes possession of our own soul and settles in.  Outside and inside blur together in thoughts and feelings.

Supposed opposites turn out to be a necessity to separate the own from the other and at the same time to merge into a unity.  Through my life on the green meadow, nature involuntarily influences my thinking and actions.  Nature is constantly changing, everything grows and passes, colors and shapes change.

That’s art. And my own doing is nothing but a natural need.
What’s the difference?
