Clinic for Women and Dermatology – Heidelberg

2011

What wants to live must share.

Cells divide, merge into larger formations and keep each other separated by membranes. Coming together and delimiting. . . some of it is visible and some of it is not.

The biological process of cell division to enable cell growth is a basic prerequisite for every life. For the Heidelberg Clinic, this fact becomes the subject of artistic design. It thus concerns not only the dermatology or gynecology clinic but the entire complex and is growing beyond, a connection to life in general.

Also built space is composed of individual cells that only together become a complex organism. A network permeates the individual rooms and makes the interaction and interplay of the different functions visible above the heads.
