Are individuality and looneliness the interlinked challenges of our present time?
In our time, individuality and loneliness are often in a tense relationship with one another, not only on an individual level but also on a societal level. Self-realization, independence, and the pursuit of personal growth are central values that are frequently emphasized and celebrated. Through social media and a culture of “self-presentation,” people are encouraged to present themselves as unique individuals and to stand out from the crowd.
Does art have the power to promote interpersonal relationships?
Ego versus common good? Today, art, like social work, is forging new alliances with nature, economics, and politics, because nothing less than life and survival are at stake.
Art AND our social lives are both an INFINITE field
infinite diversity
infinite tasks
infinite possibilities
To give shape to this connection, seeds and plants on the one hand and various handmade individual items on the other become the protagonists of a new narrative in an ecological, social and artistic sense.
The courtyard
A stainless steel structure is available to the students. In the middle is soil into which the newly enrolled students can plant the seeds of an annual plant. The act of planting is a symbol of hope and new beginnings. It is a quiet act of trust and reminds us that every step, every beginning, no matter how small or insignificant it may seem, has the potential for great growth… a work that is characterised by a conceptual-participatory approach and in which the actions of the participants themselves become a work of art.
In the cafeteria
The lemniscate, as the horizontal figure eight is also known, connects us worldwide with all people who are committed to humanity and the preservation of creation. It symbolises our willingness to work together across religious and cultural boundaries to shape our world together. It stands for the cyclical nature of things, for the natural order of human existence and life itself, as well as for the concept of the boundless or unimaginable. A narrative without beginning or end. A loose connection of individual parts, as a whole, despite diversity and difference, connected to form a symbol that represents meanings and connections.
